Happy New Year 2009! I am so new to blogging that I will probably bore everyone with my ramblings. Anyway, great day today. It is cold and rainy outside. Got up and fed the horses and goats. Of course, I was 1 hour late feeding the horses so they reprimanded me by snorting at me when I got outside. Putt Putt, Lauren's quarter horse, pushed the gate to his stall closed to inform me that he was ready for chow - now! I fed him last! I took a walk around the property 3 times about 1 mile while I listened to "This American Life" on my ipod. The house is very quiet right now with Lauren still sleeping (her last big chance to sleep in before school starts back) and Scott playing a game on his laptop in his room. Brock, our beautiful border collie, is resting in the dining room after walking with me, checking on the chickens, the goats, the horses and everything else on the place. He deserves a rest. I am taking the day off from work to spend with the kids and my mounds of laundry. Oh, happy day!
